The County of San Diego, Owner, invites bids for Construction of Collier Park Soccer Arena; PROJECT 1014130 (RFB 4677).

Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, at 10089 Willow Creek Rd, Ste. 150, San Diego, 92131, until 2:00 PM on September, 28 2010, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available for download on the County Buynet site: http://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov .You must be registered at the site in order to download documents. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or Classification B, General Building Contractor. There is a pre-bid meeting scheduled for 10:00 am on September 10, 2010 at 626 E. Street, Ramona, CA 92065. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $350,000 to $425,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Owner, as a matter of policy, encourages Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation for this project. NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING SERVICES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS FOR FAA FUNDED PROJECTS
(RFSQ 4731)


The County of San Diego Department of Public Works invites qualified Consultants to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to provide Environmental Consulting Services On An As-Needed Basis for FAA funded projects. Consultant must demonstrate experience in the preparation of environmental documents required by various local, state and federal laws and policies. The consultant must be: experienced in applying the County's CEQA guidelines; FAA NEPA guidelines; have recent experience in the preparation of a Mitigated Negative Declaration and/or Environmental Impact Report; and be experienced in applying regulatory guidelines. This shall include, but not be limited to, permits required under CWA Sections 401 and 404, ESA Sections 7 and 10, NHPA Section 106, and CFGC Section 1601. Knowledge of, and experience with, implementation of the state's Natural Communities Conservation Program (NCCP), the County's Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP), conducting field surveys, and preparation of County Habitat Loss Permit applications shall be required. Projects involving federal funds or permits may require that chief personnel hold certifications with other organizations, such as the Register of Professional Archeologists (ROPA). Multiple contracts are intended to be awarded from this Qualification Based Selection. Awarded contracts shall each be under $1,000,000 per year for terms of up to five (5) years. Contract award is projected for January 2011. Compensation to Awarded Consultant shall be on a Task Order basis. County may assign Task Orders to Awarded Consultants in any order for this project and task assignments shall be at the sole discretion of the County. Assignment of Task Orders may be made when the County has need for consultant engineering services, but assignment of any Task Order during the duration of the contract is not guaranteed.
