NOTICE OF INTENT TO CIRCULATE RECALL PETITION
Notice is hereby given to the attention of the person(s) whose name(s) appear(s) hereon to circulate a petition within the City of San Diego for the purpose or recalling San Diego City 4th District City Councilmember Anthony Young
The grounds for recall are as follows:
The voters and constituents are dissatisfied with your continued disregard for the wishes of your district. Your constituents feel your loyalties are to everyone except them. Several meetings have been held calling you to account and you have completely disregarded those seeking your assistance making it clear that you don't assist one group -which ironically represented the entire community as we are one body seeking fair and just representation. You display arrogance and feel you have to answer no one. You consistently fail to address the basic district issues: pot holes, graffiti, lack of or out of service lighting, gang violence - failing to consistently speak with leadership and standing with the victims nor remove the perpetrators. You failed to provide leadership regarding the free clinic widely contested by your constituents and the final straw was your utter disregard for the community's wishes to keep the leadership of SEDC and its structure. You have recklessly disregarded the pioneers who fought to create an entity that brought pride, quality of life and opportunities to your constituents. You've besmirched the memory of those who trailblazed the way that gives you the freedoms you so callously disregard. You have snatched the stability fought for with blood, sweat and tears for the pleasure of personally assaulting the character of the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation and its leadership. Your tainted legacy will be your unyielding lack of leadership that has been diminished beyond repair due to your spiteful, mean spirited and grudge holding demeanor and your utter respect for personality over competence. You failed to take action to many times to call and it is clear that this district is void of the necessary character and leadership needed in City Hall. We want what's best for the District and we sadly submit that is not you.
