NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools/San Diego County Office of Education; San Diego County, California, hereinafter referred to as the “County Office,” will receive up to, but not later than 10 o'clock a.m. on the 21 day of August 2006 sealed bids for the purpose of:

Such bids must be received by the Purchasing Supervisor, Internal Business Services Section of the County Office, IN ROOM 503, 6401 Linda Vista Road; San Diego, CA 92111 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice, the Information for Bidders, and the Bid Specifications. Copies of the bid documents may be attained at the above address.
The County Office reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding process.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for REMOVE AND REPLACE CONCRETE CURB, GUTTER AND SIDEWALKS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS COUNTYWIDE, (RFB 1533). Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Lobby Front Desk, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111 (Bldg 11), San Diego, California, 92123-2149, until 2:00 p.m. on August 24, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contractor shall possess, at the time the Contract is awarded, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor or C-8 Concrete Contractor. The Owner, as a matter of policy, encourages the participation of disabled veteran owned businesses. The list of certified DVBEs is available for reference at: http://www.osmb.dgs.ca.gov/bis_queries/bis_queries_menu.asp. Work to be Done consists in general of the removal and replacement of existing concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, cross gutters, driveways and construction of concrete curb ramps. The project is located in various areas within the County of San Diego. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $350,000 to $450,000. Contract Documents, including reduced Plans only, Specifications and Proposal Forms, may be examined or purchased for the sum of $15.00 (including tax) per set at the County of San Diego, Department of Purchasing and Contracting, Cashier, Building 11 (MS O32), County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, Suite 1111, San Diego, CA 92123. Make checks payable to County of San Diego; no refund will be made. Mail service is available only to those prospective bidders outside a 30 mile radius of the County Operations Center and at an additional cost of $5.00 per set of documents. The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for SAN ELIJO LAGOON BOARDWALK PROJECT; PROJECT NO. 1000172 (RFB 1601).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, Building 11, County Operations Center, 5555 Overland Avenue, San Diego, California, 92123, until 2:00 p.m. on AUGUST 30, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on August 16, 2006 at the project site, San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Preserve Visitor Center, 2710 Manchester Avenue, Encinitas, CA 92007 (meet in the parking lot). Contract documents may be examined or purchased for the sum of $20.00 per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting. Contractor license requirement is “A”, General Engineering Contractor. Cost estimate of construction is $230,000 to $270,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid.
