CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS AND
REHABILITATION

Invites Qualified Firms to Submit Statements of Qualifications for

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR
POTABLE WATER STORAGE
RESERVOIR(S) AT
CALIPATRIA STATE PRISON
RFQ No. PMB201507

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) intends to contract with a firm for Construction Management Services for the Potable Water Storage Reservoir(s) project at Calipatria State Prison (CAL) located in Calipatria, CA.

The project consists of constructing a new cathodically protected 1.25 million gallon (MG) potable water storage reservoir and renovation of the existing 2.06 MG potable water storage reservoir. Water agitation/movement devices for the control of disinfection byproducts will be included on both the new and existing tank. The reservoirs will be connected to the suction lines of the booster pump station with isolation valves and the necessary piping and plumbing to allow isolation and operation of the new reservoir separately from, or in conjunction with, the existing water storage reservoir so that either reservoir can be taken off-line and maintained while ensuring a constant feed of water to the Institution. Water levels in the new reservoir will be both mechanically and digitally monitored with data transmitted to the existing control panel in the booster pump house. The new tank will be constructed in close proximity to and at the same finish grade as the existing tank. A minimum 12 foot wide asphalt roadway will be provided to access the reservoirs.

Construction Management services will include a part time to full-time Construction Manager and part time limited support for scheduling, estimating, and document control.

A Notice of Award for services is subject to budgetary, legislative and control agency approval and funding of the proposed project(s).

CDCR encourages DVBE and SB participation.
