The City Attorney, who serves as General Counsel to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Diego (Agency), in conjunction with the Southeastern Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), is requesting qualifications/proposals from bond counsel firms to provide legal services for Central Imperial and Southcrest redevelopment project areas. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to provide SEDC and the Agency with bond counsel services relating to the issuance and sale of tax allocation bonds (approximately $22 million) and any new money bonds that may be issued up to 3 years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Grossmont Union High School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 2:00 o'clock p.m. of the 29th day of August, 2006, sealed bids for the award of a contract for the Field Upgrades At Steel Canyon High School & Installation of Backstop at El Cajon Valley High School, Bid No. GU-07.01.SHLT.
Bids shall be received in the Purchasing Department of the Grossmont Union High School District located at 1100 Murray Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which are now on file and may be obtained after August 8, 2006, at the Grossmont Union High School District Bond Trailer, 9600 Milden Street, La Mesa, CA 91942. Call 619-644-8143 for availability of plans. A $150 refundable deposit will be collected for each set of specifications and drawings.
Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the contract documents, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.*
The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
The lowest bid shall be the lowest total of the bid prices on the base contract as set forth in the bid form.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: B - General Contractor
A mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk will be held on, Thursday, August 17, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in the District Administration Center, Conf. San Diego Housing Commission
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
FROM RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY OWNERS TO
OPERATE A PROJECT-BASED VOUCHER PROGRAM

The San Diego Housing Commission is accepting applications from residential property owners to operate a Project-Based Voucher (PBV) program. The PBV program is a Federal Section 8 housing subsidy program that ties rental assistance directly to a specific unit or project for an aggregate term up to 15 years. The San Diego Housing Commission will fund the Project-Based Voucher Program through its Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8), using funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). A maximum of 100 vouchers will be available during FY2007.
The PBV program provides rental assistance to qualified, very-low income individuals and families. Project-Based Voucher participants do not locate their own unit but must move to a unit already in the Project-based Voucher Program.
The Housing Commission's Project-based Voucher Program can be used for existing housing, new construction, or rehabilitation projects comprised of multifamily or single-family units. The program is targeted to owners providing housing for homeless persons or families and that provide supportive services in addition to housing.

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the North San Diego County Transit Development Board (“NCTD”) at the NCTD offices, 810 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054, up to 3 pm, Wednesday, August 23, 2006 for the Seamless Garage Floor, West Division project.
Project Description:  Apply seamless flooring to the east side of West Division garage floor.
NOTE:   The above descriptions are for general information.  The Scope of Work in Section 07 of the IFB document provides a complete and detailed description of the project scope.

Contractor’s License: 
The successful bidder shall possess, at the time the contract for the Project is awarded, the California Contractor’s License Classification B, or C15, or C33.  Pursuant to California Public Contract Code section 20103.5, no bid submitted shall be invalidated by NCTD for failure of the bidder to be licensed in accordance with the laws of this state at the time of bid submittal.  Failure of the successful bidder to obtain proper and adequate licensing for award of the contract for the Project shall constitute a failure to execute the contract, and shall result in the forfeiture of its Bid Security, as required herein.
This work is valued by NCTD to be within this cost range:  $65,000 to $75,000.
