All bidders will meet at the offices of the Carlsbad Unified School District, at 6225 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009 on the date and time specified, and must be present for the entire job-walk. This will entail a tour of District Office locations as well as those at Carlsbad High School and Sage Creek High School. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: C7 (low voltage).
Installing contractor qualifications: Firms and their personnel must be regularly engaged in the installation of networking electronics equipment for systems of similar type and scope. The contractor must have a full service office able to respond to emergency callouts during the warranty period. The contractor must provide documentation from Cisco indicating their qualifications (Cisco Gold Certified Partner or
at a minimum Cisco Registered Partner with Advanced Technologies Certification in Advanced Unified Communications and
ATP Cisco Telepresence Video Advanced) for installation of this system in compliance with the manufacturer's warranty as a warranted contractor. The contractor must also provide complete installation of all wiring and devices or equipment. Subcontracts with all contractors or other warranted contractors for supervised installation of any part of this system are not approved.

INVITATION FOR BIDS
SORRENTO VALLEY DOUBLE TRACK

The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work as follows.
The work consists in general of construction of a second main track and associated bridge, retaining wall, culvert, embankment, embankment protection and drainage work between MP 247.8 to MP 248.8 in Sorrento Valley, San Diego, on the LOSSAN Corridor. The Project will temporarily impact the North Parking Lot at Sorrento Valley Coaster Station during construction of the double track project. In order to allow continued station operation during construction with minimal impact to passengers, the project includes construction of an additional new 82 space parking lot located on the South Sorrento Valley Boulevard in the Railway Right of Way. The parking lot includes; a piled retaining wall, subbase, surfacing, lighting, striping, signage and landscaping.
The Engineer's Estimate is $18,600,000.
This project is funded in part with FTA funding. The UDBE goal for this project is 8.5 percent. The Prime contractor must perform with their own organization at least 35 percent of the work.
A non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at SANDAG, 401 B Street, 8th Floor, in the Wells Fargo Building. A site visit will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sorrento Valley Station Parking Lot North End.
