PLEASE ACCEPT THIS AS A NOTICE TO INFORM YOU, as a property owner, tenant or interested citizen, that the Council of The City of San Diego, California will conduct a public hearing, as part of a scheduled City Council meeting, on the following project:
To execute Amendment Number 5 to the agreement with Lee & Ro Consulting Engineers Inc. for $976,759 for engineering services during the construction of the Grit Processing Improvement Facility at the Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant. This Amendment will bring the total contract cost with Lee & Ro Consulting Engineers for Engineering services on Grit Processing Improvement Facility to $3,911,121. COMMUNICATIONS
This item may begin at any time after the time specified. Any interested person may address the City Council to express support or opposition to this issue. Time allotted to each speaker is determined by the Chair and, in general, is limited to three (3) minutes;
moreover, collective testimony by those in support or opposition shall be limited to no more than fifteen (15) minutes total per side

City of San Diego Seeks Public Audit Committee Members
Following the passage of Proposition C in June 2008, the City of San Diego began the process of changing the configuration of its Audit Committee from 3 City Councilmembers to 2 City Councilmembers and 3 Public Members. Total Committee membership will increase from 3 to 5 positions. To implement this, the City of San Diego is interested in qualified applicants for the new public member positions on the reconfigured Audit Committee. Candidates must possess at least 10 years of experience as a certified public accountant or as a certified internal auditor, or ten years of other professional financial or legal experience in audit management. Qualified applicants need not reside within the City of San Diego. The current deadline to apply is 9/03/08.
