NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work at the Purchasing and Contracting Department, Contracts Division, 1200 Third Avenue, Suite 200, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified. Plans and specifications can be obtained from The City of San Diego's website: http://www.sandiego.gov/bids-contracts. A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. Bids/proposals from small businesses, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and local firms are strongly encouraged. Notice is hereby given that the Council and the City of San Diego will consider an ordinances pursuant to Section 99 of the Charter of the City of San Diego authorizing the Mayor or his designee to execute a first Amendment to Agreement with RJC Architects for the Architectural and Design Services for the La Jolla Children's Pool Lifeguard Station to increase this contract by $71,250.00; and Authorize the expenditure of $71,250 from CIP # S-00644, La Jolla Children's Pool Lifeguard Station, for the purpose of executing this first amendment to the agreement, contingent upon the City Comptroller first certifying fund availability. Consideration of the ordinance will take place at the regular City Council meeting on September 07, 2010, in the City Administration Building, council chambers, 12th floor, 202 C Street San Diego CA 92101. Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed
Community Development Block Grant
Third Substantial Amendment to the
Fiscal Year 2009 Annual Action Plan

The City of San Diego was awarded $14,852,251 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in Fiscal Year (FY) 2009. Of these CDBG funds, the San Diego Housing Commission was allocated a total of $1,277,478 for various housing and public facilities projects. The San Diego Housing Commission has requested the reallocation of $1,097,478 of these FY 2009 CDBG funds to the Parker-Kier Apartments Rehabilitation Project. The proposed reallocation of these funds would require the submission of a Third Substantial Amendment to the City of San Diego's FY 2009 Annual Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). An electronic copy of the report summarizing the proposed reallocation and Third Substantial Amendment will be posted on the City's CDBG website at www.sandiego.gov/cdbg/general from August 11 - September 14, 2009.

The proposed reallocation and Third Substantial Amendment will be considered by City Council during their regularly scheduled meeting on September 13th or 14th, 2010 at:
