NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Diego County Superintendent of Schools/San Diego County Office of Education; San Diego County, California, hereinafter referred to as the “County Office,” will receive up to, but not later than 10 o'clock a.m. on the 9 day of October, 2008 sealed bids for the purpose of:

Schlage Door Lock Replacement - Three (3) Outdoor Schools

Such bids must be received by the Purchasing Supervisor, Internal Business Services Section of the County Office, IN ROOM 503, 6401 Linda Vista Road; San Diego, CA 92111.
A Mandatory/Must Attend PreBid Meeting will be held at each of the three (3) outdoor schools beginning at Palomar Outdoor School, 19452 State Park Road, Palomar Mountain, CA 92060 on September 25, 2008 at 10:00 am until 1:30 pm. Please bring a lunch, as there will not be any stops between the caravan visits to the three (3) outdoor schools. Bring and review your bid documents. Failure to attend the mandatory prebid meetings will cause your bid to be rejected as nonresponsive.
Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice, the Information for Bidders, and the Bid Specifications. Copies of the bid documents may be attained at the County Office.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a 10% security referred to in the contract documents, the noncollusion affidavit, the list of subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the Instructions to Bidders.
The County Office reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bids or in the bidding process.
No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
The director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party on request at Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Statistics and Research, Prevailing Wage Unit, P.O. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under them, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.
This contract is___/is not XX subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code. “Pursuant to Labor Code section 1771.7, the District has implemented and shall enforce a Labor Compliance Program (LCP) approved by the Department of Industrial Relations for this Project.

  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT, will receive up to, but not later than 1:00 p.m. on October 3, 2008, sealed proposals for the award of the following contract:

Security Guard Patrol Services for Construction Sites at Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges
Such proposals shall be received at the location specified below, and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the stated time and place:

 Each proposal must conform and be responsive to this Notice and all other documents comprising the pertinent Contract Documents.  Copies of the Contract Documents are now on file and may be obtained from the Purchasing and Contracts Department at the above address.  The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to accept or reject any one or more items of a proposal, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the proposals or in the process.  No proposal may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of the proposals.
A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for Friday September 26, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. to review the existing locations and conditions that will require the security guard patrol services.  The pre-bid meeting will take place at the Prop R trailer, which is located in Parking Lot 4A on the Grossmont College campus, 8800 Grossmont College Drive, El Cajon, CA 92020-1799.  The pre-bid meeting will convene at Cuyamaca College at approximately 10:30 a.m. to review existing locations and conditions on that campus.
