The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF PARKSIDE STREET AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS; PROJECT No. 1003263; (BID No. 3296).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on OCTOBER 02, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. Contract documents will be available after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 and may be examined or purchased for the sum of $20.00 (including tax) per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131.
The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, or Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $1,600,000 to $1,700,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. A Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal of three percent (3%) has been established for this project. Summary: The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority ("Authority") seeks Proposals from firms or individuals (“Respondent”) to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment and replacement parts for maintaining the emergency generator systems and automatic transfer switches (“Equipment”) at the San Diego International Airport (“Airport”).

Presubmittal Conference (Attendance is mandatory): will be held in The Tuskegee Conference Room at 9:30am, local time, on October 2, 2008.
Equipment Inspection - Job Walk (Attendance is mandatory): will be held immediately after the Presubmittal Conference. This Job Walk is an opportunity for the Respondent to view and ask questions about the Equipment. It is anticipated that this inspection my take @ 2 hours.

The County of San Diego, Owner, invites qualified Contractors to submit Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) to ESTABLISH A PRE-QUALIFIED LIST OF CONTRACTORS TO PERFORM EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND/OR CONSTRUCTION SERVICES; (RFSQ 3312).
Submittals will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 4:00 p.m. on OCTOBER 1, 2008. No pre-qualification conference is scheduled for this procurement. Request for Statement of Qualifications documents are available for download from the County Buynet site, http://buynet.sdcounty.ca.gov or obtained at no charge from the Office of Purchasing and Contracting 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131. Contractor license requirement shall be Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. The County intends to award contracts from pre-qualified lists immediately following disasters, accidents or other events which threaten, damage or destroy public facilities. It is the County's intent to establish seven (7) pre-qualified lists of various areas of expertise. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in one or more of the seven (7) areas (see County Buynet site for details). Contractors will be required to maintain bonding capacity as specified in the RFSQ. Prevailing Wage rates apply. DVBE participation is encouraged as a matter of policy.
