Sealed bids addressed to the Board of Directors, Otay Water District, will be received for 640-1 & 640-2 RESERVOIRS, CIP P2185, W.O. 30018, at the office of the District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004, until 2 P.M., local time, on October 26, 2006 and at that time bids will be publicly opened and read.
The general scope of work includes-
The construction of Twin 10 MG prestressed concrete tanks, 42” inlet and outlet pipelines, site piping, access roads, valve vaults, PRV Stations, and all other work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. The engineer's estimate for all work proposed under the contract is twenty-one million dollars to twenty-four million dollars ($21,000,000 to $24,000,000).
A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10 A.M., on September 28, 2006, in the Board Room at the Otay Water District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, CA. 91978-2004. The engineer's estimate ranges from $21,000,000 to $24,000,000. Contract Documents, including plans and specifications, may be accessed through American Reprographics local PlanWell® provider, OCB Reprographics, via their phone number, 619-297-8300, or web site, http://www.ocbinc.com. (The Contractor is responsible to ascertain as to whether there are any additional addendums to the Contract Documents, prior to submittal.) The Otay Water District (District) will require the services of a construction management and inspection firm (Consultant) to provide construction management and inspection for the 640-1 Reservoir Project. The project consists of two 10 million gallon prestressed partially-backfilled concrete reservoirs and associated earthwork and piping. The project is located on District owned property north of the intersection of Jamacha Blvd. and Campo Road. The construction period is January 2007 - September 2008.

Interested candidates are required to send a Letter of Interest and a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) current within the calendar year to Patrick Vaughan, P.E., Otay Water District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004.

ENGINEERING CONSULTING SERVICES

The Otay Water District (OWD) will require the services of a professional electrical engineering consulting firm (Consultant) to provide professional services in support of the District's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for a period of two years on an as-needed basis. The Project is subject to Prevailing Wage.

Interested candidates are required to send a Letter of Interest (LOI) and a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) to Elmer Alex, Otay Water District, 2554 Sweetwater Springs Boulevard, Spring Valley, California 91978-2004. If a firm has submitted a SOQ to the District within the calendar year and the qualifications remain current and accurate, then only a Letter of Interest is required.

The City of Del Mar, OWNER, invites sealed bids for:

INSTALLATION OF CITY OF DEL MAR SIGNAGE.

The City of Del Mar seeks a bid from your firm for the installation of City of Del Mar signage at three locations in the City. Bid packages are available without charge from the City Clerk at 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA. 92014. Work summary includes but is not limited to preparing of subsurface, furnishing all materials for installing concrete foundation, installation of stone slabs, lettering and signs, and photovoltaic low voltage lighting systems.

RECEIPT AND OPENING OF PROPOSALS: Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk, City of Del Mar, located at 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, California, until 2:00 p.m., October 9, 2006, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud at said office. Mailed bids will be addressed to: City Clerk (INSTALLATION OF CITY OF DEL MAR SIGNAGE), 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, California 92014 and must be received by bid closing.

OPINION OF PROBABLE CONSTRUCTION COST: The Public Works Director's opinion of probable construction cost for this project is approximately $30,000.00.

COMPLETION OF WORK: All WORK must be completed within 45 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed.

BID SECURITY: Bid Security shall accompany the bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check, or a Bid Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of ten percent of the total bid amount.

PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of fifty percent, and a Performance Bond made payable to the OWNER in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract amount.

WAGE RATES: Prevailing wage rate for the locality in which the WORK is to be performed and the construction activity applies to this contract. Not less than these rates shall be paid to all workers employed on the project.

CONTRACTOR'S LICENSING LAWS: Attention is directed to the CONTRACTOR's License Law concerning the licensing of CONTRACTORS. CONTRACTORS are required to be licensed and regulated by the CONTRACTOR's State License Board. CONTRACTOR shall also obtain a City of Del Mar business license.

PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to David Scherer, Public Works Director, for the project listed. It shall be understood, however that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone. The City of Del Mar, OWNER, invites sealed bids for:

STREET TREE TRIMMING & REMOVAL SERVICES (FY2007-2011)

The City of Del Mar seeks a bid from your firm for Street Tree Trimming and Removal Services (FY2007-2011), per list hereto attached. Bid packages are available without charge from the City Clerk at 1050 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA. 92014.

Contract will be awarded based upon total bid price. However, Contractor should realize that the purpose of this bid schedule is to set unit prices for this multi-year contract, adjustable to the CPI (Consumer Price Index). Public Works annual estimate for work is $10,000 but may vary from $5,000 to $15,000 annually. Work quantities in a given year will only include some of the bid items and the quantities may vary substantially from the quantities in this schedule. However, the quantities are representative of segments of work expected within a specific location or portion of street. Elimination of a quantity in an annual contract means no price will be paid for items not installed.

After the initial one (1) year contract period, the City may desire to exercise an option to renew the contract up to four additional one (1) year periods under the terms and conditions stated in the model contract included in the bid package. The unit prices in the bid schedule will be reviewed and adjusted to the variation of the CPI annually at the time of contract renewal. Contract will be executed as a standard City of Del Mar Contract.
