PLEASE ACCEPT THIS AS A NOTICE TO INFORM YOU, as a property owner, tenant or interested citizen, that the Council of The City of San Diego, California will conduct a public hearing, as part of a scheduled City Council meeting, on the following project:
Matter of approving, conditionally approving, modifying or denying Progress Guide and General Plan Amendment/Community Plan Amendment No. 181902; Rezone No. 181901; Vesting Tentative Map No. 249328 and waiver to the requirement for the undergrounding of the existing overhead utilities, and Site Development Permit No. 181907 to allow for the demolish of an existing single-family residence and associated structures, and consolidate three parcels into one lot, to construct a 29 unit multi-family condominium project (includes 3 affordable housing units) known as the Esperanza Townhomes, located at 502 62nd Street on the northwest corner of Akins Avenue and 62nd Street within the Southeastern San Diego Planned District, and the Encanto neighborhoods of the Southeastern San Diego Community Planning Area.

A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF L ELECTION TO BE SAN DIEGO ON JULY 26, 2005.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held in the City of San Diego on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. O-19368 (New Series), adopted May 2, 2005, for the purpose of nominating candidates for the office of Mayor and, if any candidate received a majority of all votes cast, for the purpose of electing that candidate; and
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held in the City of San Diego on the same date, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. O-19378 (New Series), adopted May 17, 2005, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of San Diego one proposition, described as follows:
(1) One proposition regarding whether or not the City shall donate to the United States all of the CityÕs rights, title, and interest in the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Property (Proposition A); and
WHEREAS, this proposition read as follows:
PROPOSITION A.
MOUNT SOLEDAD NATURAL PARK.
Shall the City of San Diego donate to the federal government all of the CityÕs rights, title, and interest in the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial property for the federal governmentÕs use of the property as a national memorial honoring veterans of the United States Armed Forces? YES NO
; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the certificate of the Registrar of Voters of San Diego County canvassing the returns of the special municipal election, as certified to the City Clerk, has been duly received; and
WHEREAS, a canvass of this election has been completed and the City Clerk has certified the results to the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of San Diego, that the Council finds and determines, pursuant to the provisions of Section 27.0411 of the San Diego Municipal Code, as follows:
1. The whole number of votes cast in the City was 266,227.
2. The total vote received by each municipal candidate at the special municipal election is as follows:

Proposition A received the affirmative vote of a two-thirds majority of the qualified voters voting on such proposition and is hereby declared to have been approved.
4. The number of votes cast in each precinct for and against the proposition is recorded in the Election Returns Book, which book is a part of the records of this Council.
5. The City Clerk shall make public the results of the canvass of the special municipal election by publication of a copy of this resolution.

Matter of approving, conditionally approving, modifying or denying changes to an approved Community Plan Amendment and Rezone by the California Coastal Commission which if approved by the City Council and then certified by the California Coastal Commission would allow a Vesting Tentative Map, Planned Residential Development Permit and Coastal Development Permit to subdivide 185.27 acres and develop 113 single-family dwellings and 129 multi-family dwellings, public improvements, landscaping, slopes and brush management areas on approximately 35.38 acres of the site, dedication of 149.89 acres of open space to the City for conservation and rezoning the property from the AR-1-1 (previously A-1-10) to the RX-1-2 (previously R1-5000/SLO), RM-2-5 (previously R-1500) and the OC-1-1 (Open Space-Conservation) located north and south of Calle Cristobal, east and west of Camino Santa Fe in the Mira Mesa Community Plan area.
The Crescent Heights project is located in the Coastal Zone, therefore the City CouncilÕs decision requires amending the CityÕs Local Coastal Program. As a result, the final decision on the Crescent Heights project will be with the California Coastal Commission. The City of San Diego must submit this as an amendment for certification to the Coastal Commission. The amendment is not effective in the Coastal Zone until the Coastal Commission unconditionally certifies the amendment. If you wish to be noticed of the Coastal Commission hearing on this issue, you must submit a request in writing to the Development Services Department, 1222 First Avenue, MS 302 San Diego, CA 92101, John S. Fisher before the close of the City Council Public Hearing.

As a nearby property owner or tenant, or person who has requested notice, you should know that the Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) has canceled the public hearing originally scheduled for Thursday, September 29th to either approve, conditionally approve or deny an application by 6th & Island Investments, LLC. to allow alcohol (ABC Type 47 on-premise license for a bona fide eating establishment) in conjunction with live music and entertainment for Stingaree; a proposed restaurant/bar/event center to be located at 454 Sixth Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter District of the Centre City Community Plan Area.
