NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CALLING FOR BIDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that San Dieguito Union High School District of San Diego County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as the DISTRICT will receive up to, but not later than 2:00:00 o'clock p.m. of the 1st day of October, 2013, sealed bids for the award of a contract or contracts consisting of the following Bid Package:

Canyon Crest Academy Rough Grading Project CB2013-05

The bid packages comprise all or a portion of a project known as Canyon Crest Academy Rough Grading Project, 5951 Village Center Loop Road, San Diego, CA 92130, (the “Project”).

Minority, women, and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. This bid is subject to Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise requirements.

Bids shall be received in the office of the Facilities Planning and Construction, SAN DIEGUITO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT located at 684 Requeza Street, Encinitas, CA 92024 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above stated time and place.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on September 11, 2013 at 1:00pm and September 12, 2013 at 1:00pm for the purpose of acquainting all prospective bidders with the bid documents and the work site. The pre-bid meeting will begin at the administrative offices located at Canyon Crest Academy, 5951 Village Center Loop Road, San Diego, CA 92130. All bidders must attend and sign-in. The District, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to schedule additional conferences. Prospective bidders MUST attend at least one pre-bid conference.

Each bid must conform and be responsive to the contract documents, copies of which can be obtained after September 3, 2013. PLANS MAY BE OBTAINED at the following site: https://app.e-builder.net/public/PublicFolderFiles.aspx?noSplitter=1&FolderID={54dac7a1-dfbd-4f1a-8c88-1b3a6e138a22}. Please be advised that no hard copies will be distributed; Bid Documents will be available electronically ONLY. Bidders are responsible for their own printing costs should they chose to print at their own discretion.

In contracts involving an expenditure in excess of $25,000.00, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.

The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. The prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the State Director of Industrial Relations are AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET at the World Wide Website of the State Department of Industrial Relations at www.dir.ca.gov under Statistics and Research.

It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract.

This contract is subject to a labor compliance program, as described in subdivision (b) of Section 1771.5 of the Labor Code.

Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: B.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty ( 60 ) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

Notice is hereby given that the deadline for a proposal submittal to the North County Transit District at the NCTD office, located at 810 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054, is 5:00pm, September 13, 2013 for the SPRINTER WiFi Project.

Project Description:
  SPRINTER WiFi hardware, connectivity, and maintenance service.
