NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work at the Public Works Department, Public Works Contracting Group, 1010 Second Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified. Plans and specifications can be obtained from The City of San Diego's website: http://www.sandiego.gov/bids-contracts. A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. Bids/proposals from small businesses, minority-owned, disabled, veteran-owned businesses, women-owned businesses and local firms are strongly encouraged. As a property owner, tenant or person who has requested notice, you should know that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to recommend approval, conditional approval, or denial to the City Council of an Amendment to the Mid-City Communities Planned District Ordinance also referred to as the “Interim Height Ordinance.”

The proposed amendment would establish an interim height limitation that would limit structures above a building height of 50 and 65 feet along specific portions of 5th Avenue, Robinson Avenue, University Avenue, and Washington Street north of Upas Street within the CN-1, CN-1A, CN-2A, and CV-1 zones and establish a Process 4 review for structures above a building height of 65 feet along specific portions of 4th Avenue, 5th Avenue, and 6th Avenue south of Upas Street within the CN-1A, NP-1, CV-1, and MR-400 zones of the Uptown Community. These provisions of the proposed amendment would sunset by operation of law upon the effective date of an ordinance adopting the Uptown Community Plan Update. Projects deemed complete prior to the adoption of this ordinance would be exempt from these provisions.
The decision to approve, conditionally approve, modify or deny the proposed amendment to the Mid-City Communities Planned District Ordinance will be made to by the City Council at a future public hearing. A separate notice of public hearing will be provided 10 business days prior to the City Council hearing for this item.
