NOTICE INVITING BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by Casa Pacifica Adult Day Health Care Center at 1424 30th Street Suite C, San Diego, CA 92154 until 2 p.m. September 23, 2005, for meals to service in Adult Day Health Care Center. At said time and place and promptly thereafter all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Description of Product for Bid:
The following types and quantities of meals: lunch; from Monday to Friday; about 200 meals per day.
Daily delivery of meals to one center location.
Types or forms of packaging or containerizing to be used for meals:
Prepackaged meals inclusive of milk based on a 30-day menu cycle to be provided by this agency.
All meals of every type will meet the minimum standards set by the United States Department of Agriculture for Child and Adult Care Food Program meals of that type.
The Contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is responsive to this invitation and is most advantageous to the Casa Pacifica ADHC Center, price and other factors considered.
Any or all bids may be rejected when it is in the interest of Casa Pacifica ADHC Center to do so.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, Northern Service Center, Phone: (916) 653-4274, One Capitol Mall, Suite 500, Sacramento, California 95814, up to 2 P.M., Tuesday, September 27, 2005, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read for performing the work as follows:
Furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to remodel two (2) existing combination buildings for ADA compliance at SILVER STRAND STATE BEACH, San Diego County, California, complete and in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore and such addenda thereto as may be issued prior to bid opening date.
License required: A or B
Engineer's Estimate:
$256,127 Ð $313,045
NOTE: A job showing will not be held for this project.
Prospective bidders may examine and obtain bid forms, specifications, and plans by downloading the bid package from the California State Contracts Register at www.cscr.dgs.ca.gov/cscr/. The bid package is also available on CD, free of charge, and can be obtained by faxing a request to (916) 445-9027. The CD will be sent by first class mail, unless a FedEx number is provided with the fax request. Any discrepancies, omissions, ambiguities, or conflicts in or among the contract documents or doubts as to meaning shall be brought to the State's attention by FAX only to (916) 445-9027 not later than seven (7) days prior to bid opening date.
In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, 1773 and 1773.1 of the Labor Code, the Department of Parks and Recreation has ascertained that the general prevailing rates of wages in the county in which the work is to be done be as listed by the Department of Industrial Relations. A copy of the listings is on file at the address listed above.
