The County of San Diego, Owner, invites sealed bids for CONSTRUCTION OF PARKSIDE STREET AND STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS; PROJECT No. 1003263; (BID No. 3296).
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, California, 92131, until 2:00 p.m. on OCTOBER 02, 2008, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project. Contract documents will be available after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 and may be examined or purchased for the sum of $20.00 (including tax) per set at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 10089 Willow Creek Road, Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92131.
The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor, or Classification C-12, Earthwork and Paving Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $1,600,000 to $1,700,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. A Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal of three percent (3%) has been established for this project.
