Each contractor must attend each of the three pre-bid meetings in its totality. Sign-up sheets will be present at each of the three meetings. Any contractor failing to attend all three pre-bid meetings will cause his/her bid to be rejected as non-responsive. Bring and review the bid documents. It is anticipated that the pre-bid meetings will take most of the day.
The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder(s), copies of which may be obtained from the Director of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Statistics and Research, Prevailing Wage Unit, PO Box 420603, San Francisco, CA 94142-0603 or at www.dir.ca.gov
. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor(s) to whom the contract is awarded and upon any subcontractor under him to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by him in the execution of the contract.
Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the Business and Profession Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: C-53 - in the Bidder's Name and must be in good standing at the time of the bid opening process.
Award of Bid: SDCOE intends to award a contract for pool renovations to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder(s) that meets the terms and conditions set forth in the bid and contract documents. Criteria include, but are not limited to, pricing, experience in the trade, years in similar business, certifications, and warranty information. SDCOE may award all, none or some of the work described in the bid specifications. SDCOE reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process, and to judge the merit and qualifications of the bidder and of the equipment and services offered.
