NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing to present previously funded CDBG projects for reprogramming and/or reallocation has been scheduled for Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the City of San Diego Council Chambers located at 202 C Street, 12th Floor, San Diego, CA 92101. If you require assistance or auxiliary aid in order to participate at the public hearing, contact the City Clerk's office at (619) 533-4000 (voice) or (619) 236-7012 (TDD/TTY).

Public comments will be accepted during this hearing. In addition, written comments will be accepted prior to the public hearing at the CDBG Program office (1200 Third Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, CA 92101) or by email (cdbg@sandiego.gov) through January 28, 2013. All updates will be posted on the CDBG website (http://www.sandiego.gov/cdbg/general/).

The City of San Diego Development Services Department has prepared a draft Negative Declaration Report for the following project and is inviting your comments regarding the adequacy of the document.  The draft Negative Declaration has been placed on the City of San Diego web-site at

Subject: COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT/CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL to allow for the replacement of an existing 1.5 million gallon steel standpipe with a new 2.0 million gallon steel standpipe on the same lot.  The existing standpipe would be removed once the new one is operational.  The new standpipe would be a maximum height of 80’-6” and 70’ in diameter.  The project would also install approximately 100 feet of 24-inch inlet and outlet piping, a maintenance path of the site, and curb-to curb paving for pipeline installation areas in the right-of-way.  Six (6) Torrey Pine trees would be relocated onsite as part of the project.   Remedial grading would occur for the construction of the new standpipe and is not expected to exceed a depth of five feet.  Existing cellular facilities on the site would be relocated as part of a permit process, separate from the construction for the standpipe facility.  The project site is located at 209 Catalina Boulevard within the Peninsula Community Planning Area.  Legal Description: Portion of Pueblo Lot 67 of the Pueblo Lands of the City of San Diego, CA according to Map No. 36, said portion of said pueblo lot 67 is more particularly described and shown on record o Survey map No. 994 and said map thereof as filed in the office of the recorder of San Diego County on March 31, 1942. The site is not included on any Government Code listing of hazardous waste sites.
