Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing and Contracting, 5560 Overland Avenue, Suite 270, San Diego, California, 92123-1294, until 2:00 p.m. on February 26, 2013 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents including Plans, Specifications and Bid Forms are available for download at the County Buynet site: http://buynets.sdcounty.ca.gov . You must be registered at the site in order to download documents. The Contractor shall possess, at the time of submitting the bid, a California contractor's license, Classification A, General Engineering Contractor. The cost of construction is estimated to be from $325,000 to $350,000. Bid security of no less than 10% required at time of bid. Successful bidder shall provide Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Owner, as a matter of policy, encourages the Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation for this project. Quotes shall be received at San Diego County Superintendent of Schools Purchasing Department, Building 6, Room 603, 6401 Linda Vista Road, San Diego, CA 92111. Quotes will be opened on the above stated day and hour. Any Quotes not received by the time and date specified above at the above location will not
be accepted. No fax copies will be accepted.
All Quotes shall be made on a form furnished by SDCOE included in this Quote information packet. Each proposal must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the Information to Contractors, the Specifications, and all other documents comprising of the contract documents must be enclosed. SDCOE reserves the right to reject any or all Quotes, to accept or to reject any one or more items of a Quote, or to waive any irregularities or informalities in the Quotes.
No Contractor may withdraw his Quote for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of Quotes.
