NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS OF PRE-QUALIFICATION PROCECURES AND OPEN DATES FOR ANNUAL PRE-QUALIFICATION

Notice is hereby given that the Grossmont Union High School District (“District”) has determined that all contractors desiring to submit a bid for the project noted below and holding a license classification of B - General Contractor must be pre-qualified prior to submitting bids for:

Chaparral High School, New CTE Building
Project Value in Excess of $7.5 Million

Pre-qualification application packages are available on the District's website at http://portal.guhsd.net/index.php/rfp. Contractors may submit their applications from February 4, 2013, through not less than fourteen (14) days prior to opening of bids for the aforementioned project. The District must receive applications before 4:00 p.m. for the candidate to qualify for that project. The project is tentatively scheduled to bid mid-April through early May. Any extension of the prequalification date deadline will be posted on the district website.

The pre-qualification packages should be submitted under seal and marked “CONFIDENTIAL” to Bond Program, Facilities Department, ATTN: Chaparral CTE Prequalification, Grossmont Union High School District, 1100 Murray Drive, El Cajon , CA 92020, or personally delivered to the Bond Trailer at 9600 1/2 Milden Street, La Mesa, CA 91944. The District reserves the right to waive minor irregularities and omissions in the information contained in the pre-qualification application submitted, to make all final determinations, and to determine at any time that the pre-qualification procedures will not be applied to a future public works project.

All information submitted for prequalification evaluation will be considered official information acquired in confidence, and the District will maintain its confidentiality to the extent permitted by law.

Contractors are strongly encouraged to review the complete announcement and application on the District's website to obtain more specific information regarding the District's pre-qualification process.

Notice is hereby given that proposals will be received by the North County Transit District (NCTD), 810 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, CA 92054, up to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday February 19, 2013 for Federal and State Legislation Monitoring and Representation Services. At the discretion of the District one or two contracts may be awarded depending on the capabilities and areas of interest of proposing firms.

Fire Science/ EMT Training Facility - Miramar College

Public Opening Bid Date is Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2 PM

This project consists of three buildings (-/+27,000 GSF), a courtyard and a paved recruit training area for the Fire Science/EMT Training facility at Miramar College. Two of the buildings are one-story, steel and concrete masonry unit structures which will house classrooms & offices. The third building is a four-story CMU recruit drill tower with storage rooms on the ground level. There is associated landscaping, hardscaping, and other site improvements.
