This is the City of San Diego’s (City) first step (in a 1-step process) in the selection process to provide Design-Build services for the SDFD Station Alerting Design-Build Contract (Project).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 
Work and Services required of the Design-Builder include those during design, construction, of the Project. The Design-Builder shall provide all management, supervision, labor, services, equipment, tools, supplies, temporary facilities, and any other item of every kind and description required for the complete design and construction of the Project, as described in Attachment A.
LICENSE CLASSIFICATION:  
In accordance with the provisions of California Law, the successful construction entity must possess a valid Class “A or B or C-7” license at the time that a proposal is ultimately submitted for this project. In addition, all contractors, including subcontractors will be required to secure a City of San Diego license for the work contemplated.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of San Diego will receive bids for work at the Public Works Department, Public Works Contracting Group, 1010 Second Avenue, Suite 1400, San Diego, California, where bids are to be submitted prior to time specified. Plans and specifications can be obtained from The City of San Diego's website: http://www.sandiego.gov/bids-contracts. A pre-bid meeting and/or pre-bid visit to the work site will be held, if indicated, at the time and place specified in the contract documents. Prospective bidders are encouraged to attend these sessions.
It is the policy of the City of San Diego to encourage equal opportunity in its construction, consultant, material and supply contracts. INTRODUCTION: The City of San Diego (City), Public Works Department (PWD) is requesting Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for Design-Build services for the SKYLINE HILLS BRANCH LIBRARY DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT (Project). This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is the first step in the City of San Diego's (City) procurement process for the selection of a qualified Design-Builder for the Project. The Design-Builders will be issued RFQ's for this project pursuant to public advertisement for the Project. The City will not reimburse the Design-Builders for costs incurred in the preparation, submittal and participation in the RFQ process.
