Subject: COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AND SITE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT to demolish an existing 10,383-square-foot residence located at 9882 La Jolla Farms Road, and construct a new, 2-story, 9,708- square-foot single family residence, 951 square feet companion unit, and 1,051- square-foot 4 car garage with basement, swimming pool, retaining walls, hardscape, landscaping, public trails, and view easements on a 2.34 acre site. The development area of the lot will be approximately 1.33 acres with the remaining area of the site (approximately 1.01 acres) preserved for public trail and open space. The project site is legally described as Lot 1, La Jolla Farms, in the City of San Diego, County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 3487, filed in the Office of the County Recorder od San Diego County, August 9, 1956. The 2.34 acre site is located in Council District 1 in the RS-1-2 Zone of the La Jolla Community Plan Area; and within the Coastal (appealable) First Public Roadway, Coastal Height Limit, Beach and Parking Impact, Transit Area Overlay and Residential Tandem Parking Impact Zones within Council District 1. The site is located west of La Jolla Farms Road. The RS-1-2 Residential Zone allows no more than one unit per lot. The site is not included on any Government Code listing of hazardous waste sites.

Recommended Finding:  The recommended finding that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment is based on an Initial Study and project revisions/conditions which now mitigate potentially significant environmental impacts in the following area(s):  Biological Resources  and Historic (Archaeological) Resources.

City to Hold First Community Meeting for the Torrey Pines North 18-Hole Golf
Course

SAN DIEGO - The City of San Diego Public Works Department, Architectural Engineering & Parks Division, announces the first opportunity for the public to participate in the design process for a General Development Plan (GDP) for the Torrey Pines North 18-Hole Golf Course, which will include updating the North course to continue to accommodate daily and tournament play. The public is invited to attend. The workshop is free and open to everyone.

Community Meeting #1
: Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Charles Reiffel Room at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, located at 11480 North Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla, CA 92037. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and is scheduled to end at 8:30 p.m.. Please park in golf course parking lot areas only.
