The City of San Diego Development Services Department has prepared a draft Mitigated Negative Declaration Report for the following project and is inviting your comments regarding the adequacy of the document. The draft Mitigated Negative Declaration has been placed on the City of San Diego web-site at http://clerkdoc.sannet.gov/Website/publicnotice/pubnotceqa.html. Your comments must be received by 1/14/2013, to be included in the final document considered by the decision-making authorities. General Project Information:
Project Name: Fontaine Street Storm Drain, Project No. 264038
Community Plan Area: Navajo, Council District: 7

Subject: SITE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (SDP) to allow for the removal and replacement of an existing deteriorated 24-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP) with a new 250-foot long 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe to be installed within the existing storm drain alignment. Associated new improvements would include installation of a new cleanout structure, concrete cutoff walls, a headwall, energy dissipater and rip rap pad. The project would also restore and revegetate an eroded portion of the canyon slope adjacent to the pipe alignment caused by a break in the CMP storm drain occurring as a result of deterioration and undermining of the soil beneath the CMP. All disturbed work areas would be revegetated consistent with the surrounding native plant communities. The site is not included on any Government Code listing of hazardous waste sites.
