NOTICE INVITING RESPONSE TO
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The San Diego Unified Port District seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide Janitorial Services. Services shall include general cleaning, periodic cleaning, outside public restroom cleaning and as-needed janitorial cleaning services at various District facilities and public park restrooms on District Tidelands. Unit prices in the fee schedule shall include full compensation for all labor, supervision, transportation, materials, equipment, and related incidentals to provide such services and no other compensation is allowed. Service Provider shall move, cover or protect any structures or equipment that may be damaged during janitorial services. Service Provider shall remove from Tidelands all materials, tools, equipment, debris and coverings upon completion of services. Service Provider shall not permit debris and waste material generated from all operations to enter into storm water conveyance system. Service Provider shall maintain site safety and security for public areas at all times. The District will conduct a MANDATORY INFORMATION EXCHANGE
Meeting on January 10, 2013,
at 8:00 a.m.
in Board Room of the San Diego Unified Port Administration Building, 3165 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California 92101.
The purpose of this meeting is to cover the requirements to submit your proposal, the ADA related requirements and to give a brief review of the Scope of Services. All prospective Proposers will be required to attend.
There will a MANDATORY JOB-WALK
after the Information Exchange Meeting. Only two people per company will be allowed to attend. All attendees MUST
possess a Government issued photo identification card (i.e., Driver's License, State Issued Identification Card, Passport, etc.). Attendees will be required to RSVP to the mandatory information exchange meeting and job-walk by January 7, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. to Carlos Santiago, Contracts Administrator, 619-686-6235 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, the name that is giving during the RSVP MUST match the person(s) name going on the Job-Walk
. The Mandatory Information Exchange meeting and Job-Walk will be approximately eight (8) hours in duration. The meeting will commence at 8:00 a.m. and go through 4:00 p.m. Proposers will have a 30 minute lunch break during the Job-Walk. Anyone that is absent during the second session of the job-walk will not
be allowed to submit a proposal. Proposer's submitting proposals that did not attend the Mandatory Information Exchange Meeting and Job-Walk will be deemed non-responsive.
Proposals must be received no later than January 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
