The SAN DIEGO ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (SANDAG), 401 B Street, Suite 800, San Diego, CA 92101-4231, is requesting bids to perform the work as follows.

The scope of work, for the Mid-City Rapid Bus Project located in the Mid-City area of San Diego along a 10-mile corridor. The project, typically referred to as bus rapid transit (BRT), is a limited-stop bus route between downtown and San Diego State University, running along the Broadway, Park Boulevard, El Cajon Boulevard and College Avenue corridors. The project infrastructure improvements are generally concentrated along a 7-mile section of Park Boulevard and El Cajon Boulevard. Eighteen new bus rapid transit stations with shelters will be constructed at nine major intersections. Improvements include customized bus shelter and station amenities, surface street and enhanced sidewalk treatments, traffic signal transit priority, intersection signals, street lighting, landscaping, utility relocations and signage and striping.

The Engineer's Estimate is $16,201,564

This project is funded in part with FTA funding. The UDBE goal for this project is 4.3 percent. The Prime contractor must perform with their own organization at least 50 percent of the work.

A non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at SANDAG, 401 B Street, 8th Floor, in the Wells Fargo Building.

SANDAG is the only source of accurate information about SANDAG projects. The IFB may be reviewed at SANDAG and/or the Contracting Opportunities Center located at 4007 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 210, San Diego, CA.

Bids must be received by 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at SANDAG, on the 8th Floor, attention: Rian Risley. Bids arriving later than 2:30 p.m., or at a location other than 401 B Street, 7th or 8th Floors, will not be considered.

NOTICE TO QUALIFIED GENERAL CONTRACTORS
San Diego Center for Children (SDCC) Building Renovation Project

SDCC (Owner) invites sealed bids from qualified General Contractors for providing the material and installation of an 80kw emergency generator, including electrical distribution and an 800 gallon potable water storage, pump system, foundation and enclosure, exterior building siding and the renovation of an existing 1440 square foot classroom building per architectural/engineering plans.

This project is funded in whole or part by federal Community Development Block Grant funds and will be subject to Davis-Bacon Federal Wage Determination (Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll); and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act [12 U.S.C. 1701u and 24 CFR Part 135].

Bid instructions, plans, bonds, contract special provisions, and specifications in digital format will be available after 12:00pm PDT on December 10, 2012 from Don Bradley by emailing to
