Chicken of the Sea has leased 28,769 square feet of office space at Sorrento South Corporate Center West, 9330 Scranton Road, San Diego 92121, from Trizec Sorrento Towers, LLC.
The property, leased for six years at $5.1 million, will be used for general offices. The lessee was represented by Glenn Friedrich, of CresaPartners.
The lessor was represented by Eric A. Northbrook and Chris High, of Cushman & Wakefield.
The center is a two-building, six-story, 276,000-square-foot Class A office campus.
In fall 2010, Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) signed a six-year, $1.9 million lease for 10,724 square feet of office space. In summer 2009, Canon Business Solutions Inc. signed a five-year, $1 million lease renewal and expansion for 8,235 square feet. Canon in early 2007 signed a lease for 4,804 square feet for 66 months at $975,404.
Other tenants include Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. in early 2009 with a five-year, $1.9 million lease for 12,362 square feet; Principal Life Insurance Company (NYSE: PFG) in fall 2008 with a five-year, $2.5 million lease renewal for 12,718 square feet; The Nielsen Company in early 2008 with 36,387 square feet for 90 months at $11.5 million; and Turner Construction in early 2007, with a net expansion of more than 17,000 square feet to a total of 20,529 square feet for seven years at more than $5.3 million. Additional tenants include Texas Instruments, Wells Fargo Bank and an on-site Starbucks.
