Retail building on W. Grand in Escondido sold

The free-standing, 2,025-square-foot retail building, at 413-415 W. Grand Ave. in Escondido 92025, has been sold for $1 million.

The buyer was AMS Financial Management Corp., 11838 Bernardo Plaza Court, San Diego 92128. Pauline Gourdie is president of AMS, and Brian Bonar is the secretary.

The seller of the property (assessor's parcel 233-041-06) was William Steven Sapp. The seller took back a trust deed for $750,000.

The building was constructed in 1947 on a 3,484-square-foot lot.

In May 1997, the property was sold for $92,500, with financing of $98,000 from North County Bank. In August 2008, the property was sold for $400,000.

The one-story building is divisible and located in Escondido's historic downtown business district.

The rear of the building includes parking and is served by an alley.
