Sixty-three residential lots located on 24.39 acres in La Costa Town Square (photo above) in Carlsbad 92009, have sold for $14.16 million.

The buyer was Development Solutions 2LAC LLC, a unit of Davidson Communities. The seller of the property (assessor's parcel 223-050-74) was Property Development Centers LLC, a wholly owned subsidy of Safeway Inc. (NYSE: SWY).

The seller was represented by David Santistevan, Gunder Creager and Ciara Layne, of Colliers International.

The residential site is part of La Costa Town Square, a planned 285,000-square-foot, upscale shopping center located on 83 acres, which is owned by the seller. The single-family detached residential sites are located on the south side of Rancho Santa Fe Road, just east of La Costa Avenue. The lots have a minimum lot size of 7,500 square feet.
