BOMA gift drive collects thousands of toys over holidays

The San Diego Building Owners & Managers Association, representing the owners and managers of nearly 10 billion square feet of U.S. office space, recently helped collect thousands of toys in its annual “Give From Your Heart” gift drive.

A total of 15,070 toys were collected in the drive through November and December, benefitting Promises2Kids, a decades-old nonprofit working to fight against child abuse and neglect in San Diego County.

BOMA volunteers collected the toys and delivered them to warehouses before they were picked up for distribution to children.

“Dozens of BOMA volunteers donated not only toys and gifts but countless hours to help provide thousands of local children with a happier holiday,” said BOMA President Mike Hansen of CBRE.

The annual gift drive is the main focus of BOMA’s charitable outreach each year, he added.
