Websense on Sorrento Valley Road

The Deal of the Week lessee was represented by Rick Nelson, of Capstone Commercial, and Brian Driscoll, of Cassidy Turley San Diego.

The lessor was represented by Eric A. Northbrook and Steve Center, of Cushman & Wakfield.

The deal was the renewal and expansion of a leasehold by Websense Inc. (Nasdaq: WBSN) on 121,723 square feet of Sorrento Valley industrial/research and development space in Creekside at 10220 (insert), 10240 and 10260 (photo) Sorrento Valley Road, San Diego, from Creekside Property Holdings LLC.

The renewal and expansion were for 67 months at $17.5 million.

In early 2007, Websense renewed its lease on its 105,797-square-foot, three-building world headquarters at 10220-10260 Sorrento Valley Road for five years at $11 million.

Creekside was built in 1981 on 9.22 acres and sold in September 2005 for $26 million.
