Pasha Automotive plan approved in concept

Changes to the Pasha Automotive Services leasehold in National City were unanimously approved in concept by the Board of Port Commissioners on Tuesday.

Among other changes, the improvements would add new tracking including 30 to 50 railcar spots, and additional acreage to handle the volume from both the existing 3,000-vehicle Jean Anne and the 2,750-car Marjorie C. now under construction.

With the increased volume, Pasha is projected to need 117 acres of open storage area almost immediately, with a need to grow the storage to 140 acres by 2020.
