Shea Homes buys Carlsbad land on Pio Pico

The 5.34-acre parcel, at 2373 and 2375 Pio Pico Drive in Carlsbad 92008, has been sold for $5,975,000, cash.

The buyer was homebuilder Shea Homes Limited Partnership, 9990 Mesa Rim Road, Suite 200, San Diego 92121, attention: Paul Barnes.

The seller of the property (assessor's parcels 156-351-03, 07 and 08) was Robert Miles, as trustee of the Robert Miles Living Trust, dba Miles Pacific Nursery.

The property has been occupied by a palm nursery and a 1,064-square-foot house with two bedrooms and one bathroom at 2373 Pio Pico.

The house occupied 1.2 acres of the property and was constructed in 1948.

The property, west of Interstate 5 and south of Buena Vista Lagoon, has been subdivided into 17 single-family home lots ranging from 7,525 to 13,782 square feet, for a density of 3.15 dwelling units per acre.
