The landmark Granger Building in downtown San Diego on Broadway (425-447) and Fifth Ave. (944-964) has been sold for $7.7 million.
The five-level, approximately 55,000-square-foot building was constructed in 1904 on a 12,500-square-foot corner lot.
The buyer was S.Q.I. Inc., 6625 Norman Lane, San Diego 92120. Najib Tobla Mansour is the chief financial officer, president and secretary of S.Q.I.
The acquisition was financed with a loan of $5.39 million from Wells Fargo Bank.
The seller of the property (assessor's parcel 533-573-09) was Granger Associates, a California general partnership with Frank M. Goldberg as the president.
In fall 2008, Tribal Eyewear Inc. leased 1,500 square feet at 944 Fifth for five years at $341,228, for a clothing store.
