The 10-unit apartment complex in Golden Hill at 2400-2406 A St., San Diego 92102, has been sold for $1,945,000.

The buyer was Richard B. Sprenkle as trustee of the Richard B. Sprenkle Revocable Trust, 2321 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 3235, El Segundo 90245.

The acquisition was financed with a loan of $1.4 million from First Republic Bank.

The seller of the property (assessor's parcel 534-141-01) was Mary E. Le Friant, trustee of the Gagon Family Trust.

Jim Taylor and Shelly Bird of Sperry Van Ness|Finest City Commercial represented the buyer. Rita Lancaster-Hannah with Colliers International represented the seller.

The approximately 8,732-square-foot apartment consists of one-bedroom units with a single studio, and a two-bedroom/two-bath penthouse unit with a rooftop terrace and sweeping views of the city.

The property interiors featured a unique floor plan, hardwood flooring, woodwork, stained glassed windows, and crown molding throughout.

The two-story apartment was constructed in 1915 on a 0.13-acre lot.

The property was sold for $328,000 in 1999, with financing of $127,000.
