Building on Aero part of a portfolio sale

The 48,548-square-foot office building, at 8555 Aero Drive in Kearny Mesa, has been sold for $4.5 million to Lone Star Funds, a Dallas-based investor.

It was one of four buildings in San Diego totaling 138,524 square feet Lone Star acquired as part of a larger portfolio of 37 properties for $214.4 million.

The other three buildings here are on Camino del Rio North in Mission Valley. The four local properties were valued at $12.94 million.

A seller was a unit of CommonWealth REIT (NYSE: CWH) of Newton, Mass.

Lone Star was already an investor in San Diego office properties with the 376,703-square-foot First Allied Plaza building at 655 Broadway in downtown San Diego, acquired for $140.88 million in spring 2013.
