Marcus & Millichap brokers sell Carlsbad apartment

Aaron Bove and Aaron Wilkinson, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichapís San Diego office, represented the buyer of the seven-unit apartment complex at 3044 State St. in Carlsbad. Bove and Wilkinson also represented the seller. The apartment was sold for $1,855,000. The buyer was Villagio Carlsbad Cottages LLC. The seller was 3044 State Street LLC.

The 12,199-square-foot lot occupied by the apartment is approved for a mixed-use building with first-floor retail (1,155 square feet) and nine townhouse style condominiums with garages (1,220 to 2,200 square feet) totaling 15,389-square feet.

The property may also be maintained as the existing complex and for use as vacation rentals, Bove said.

The transaction was reported in this column Monday, Aug. 11.
