As executive director, Riedy assembled the BMC’s team of faculty and staff, who are supported directly by more than 110 industry leaders serving on the center’s four policy advisory board committees. The center facilitates an annual conference series attracting more than 700 industry executives, annual conferences for women in leadership and residential real estate, a Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree program, undergraduate majors and minors in real estate, and a Continuing Education certificate program for working adults.
“Programs and services developed under Riedy’s leadership consistently are of the highest quality and create terrific academic and career opportunities for USD students,” said David Pyke, dean of the School of Business Administration at USD. “Simultaneously, they have forged strong relationships with and loyalty among literally thousands of alumni and other industry professionals. Industry support that Riedy has garnered since 1993 testifies to his understanding of the industry’s needs, his relationship-building skills and his leadership and ability to communicate a vision and turn it into reality.”
Riedy’s connections and relationships within the industry helped establish the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate in 2004 as an endowed real estate center.
A search committee at USD comprised of SBA administrators, BMC faculty and Executive Committee leaders will name a successor before year-end to facilitate a seamless transition in the Center’s leadership.
