The deal was a lease by Maggie's Café of 2,000 square feet of retail space in the 55,947-square-foot Serra Mesa Shopping Center at 3238 Greyling Drive, San Diego, 92123, from Omninet Serra Mesa LP. The property, leased for 10 years at $550,266, will be used for a restaurant.
The shopping center built in 1965 on a 5.07-acre corner lot at 3202-3340 Greyling Drive and 3352 Sandrock Road in the Serra Mesa neighborhood.
In March 2011, the shopping center was sold for $6.7 million by a court-appointed receiver in a judicial foreclosure. In fall 2003, the property was sold for $6,775,000.
The shopping center is anchored by CVS Pharmacy, formerly a Sav-On drug store.
In 2002, Albertsons Inc. ground-leased the 14,696-square-foot retail site at 3332 Greyling Drive for 25 years at $5 million.
