UC Regents lease on Executive

Office: Regents of the University of California has leased 15,973 square feet of office space at 4510 Executive Drive, Suite 315, San Diego 92121, from Arden Realty Inc. The property was leased for seven years at $4.38 million.

The lessee was represented by Herb Hafter, of CBRE (NYSE: CBG). The lessor was represented by Eric Vann and Brian Starck, of Cassidy Turley San Diego.


Retail: Chuck E. Cheese has leased 15,812 square feet of retail space in the Marketplace at the Grove shopping center at 3414 and 3416 College Ave., San Diego 92115, from Ultimate Capital LLC. The property was leased for 10 years at $2,800,000.

The lessee was represented by Jeffrey Drew, of Retail Insite. The lessor was represented by Bruce Schiff, Phil Lyons and Andrew Peterson, of Cassidy Turley San Diego.

The space was formerly occupied by Banner Mattress (3414) and Party City (3416).

The 630,000-square-foot, split-level power center is anchored by Walmart and Sam's Club. Other tenants are Kohl's (in a former Mervyn's), Target (in a former HomeBase, Ross, Dress for Less (in a former Long's Drugs), Staples and Big Lots.


Retail: 7-Eleven has leased 2,880 square feet of retail space at 1179 N. Escondido Blvd., Escondido 92026, from James Harker, trustee of the Harker Family Trust.

The property, leased for 120 months at $1,528,260, is for a convenience store.

The lessee was represented by Nikki Meyer, of Cassidy Turley (St. Louis, Mo.). The lessor represented himself.


Industrial: Factory Direct Floor Store has leased 1,550 square feet of industrial space at 7574 Trade Street, Suite B, San Diego 92121, from Steven and Brad Murray.

The property, leased for 36 months at $47,430, will be used for a general office and warehouse for a flooring company.

The lessee and lessor were represented by Evan McDonald, of Colliers International.
