A formal grand opening is being held this weekend at the Otay Ranch development in the South Bay.
The initial 600-acre "village" called Heritage currently is under construction. About 2,800 homes will be constructed over the next six to eight years in the Heritage portion of the project.
Guest builders who currently are selling or pre-selling homes at Otay Ranch include: Centex Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, Pacific Coast Communities and Trimark Pacific Homes.
The initial floor plans range from about 1,400 to 3,300 square feet and are priced from the high $100,000s to the high $300,000s.
Trimark Pacific Homes is making its debut in San Diego County with its project, The Woodlands at Otay Ranch. Construction of models began in February and presales are expected to begin in the spring. The developer plans to release 16 homes in the initial phase, plus opening three model homes. Three two-story, four-bedroom floor plans will range from 2,119 to 2,601 square feet. Prices will begin in the mid-$200,000s.
Ryland Homes is holding a grand opening Saturday and Sunday of its model homes of the 100-home Highlands Collection at Twin Oaks Valley Ranch in San Marcos. The three- and four-bedroom floor plans range from 1,656 to 2,158 square feet. Ten homes already have been sold "off the blueprints," and phases two and three are being offered from $285,990 to $364,990.
Ryland has two other neighborhoods at Twin Oaks Valley Ranch where another 46 homes have been sold before completion of the models. The Arbor Collection has sold 38 of a planned 85 homes from $207,990 to $255,990 for floor plans from 1,656 to 2,185 square feet with three and four bedrooms.
The Monterey Collection from $235,990 to $299,990 has sold eight of 137 planned with floor plans from 1,973 to 2,546 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
Barratt American reports 31 homes have been sold for a total of more than $30 million at its Knightsbridge Country Estates development in Olivenhain. Another 11 homes have been released as phase eight of the planned 60 homes. The five one- and two-story, three- to six-bedroom floor plans range from 4,489 to 5,513 square feet and are priced from $990,410 to $1,410,500.
Prudential New Homes reports eight homes remain for sale from $279,990 to $319,900 at its Prospect Hills II development in Santee surrounding the Carlton Oaks Country Club. Three floor plans of 1,768 to 1,905 square feet offer four and five bedrooms.
Barratt American reports 30 homes have been sold and 12 homes remain for sale at its Venezia Del Mar development overlooking the San Dieguito Valley. The three model homes also have been placed on the market for $739,900 to $839,900. The three- and four-bedroom floor plans range from 3,041 to 3,740 square feet. Production homes are priced from $595,990 to $709,990.
California Pacific Homes reports with 215 sales, the halfway point has been reached at its master-planned StoneCrest Village development in Murphy Canyon.
Bridgeport by K. Hovnanian is selling its final phases. The floor plans range from 2,145 to 2,285 square feet with up to five bedrooms and are priced from the mid-$300,000s.
Saratoga, a second K. Hovnanian collection, has sold off more than half of its 120 homes. The floor plans range from 1,094 to 1,390 square feet with up to three bedrooms. Prices range from high $100,000s
Richmond American Homes has 44 of a planned 52 homes sold at its Westport development. The floor plans range from 2,264 to 2,947 square feet with up to five bedrooms and are priced from the mid-$300,000s.
Presley Homes' Stratford Place has sold 63 of its planned 110 clustered homes. Floor plans range from 1,310 to 1,675 square feet with up to four bedrooms. Prices range from the mid-$200,000s.
McMillin Cos. will hold a grand opening Saturday at Scripps Ranch Community park in its Scripps Ranch Villages development in San Diego. Designed by Jack Nakawatase of ONA, the 20-acre park includes a large playground with several large play structures, swings, a picnic shelter and benches, three lighted soccer fields, two basketball courts and a large grass field. A 15,000-square-foot gymnasium and recreation center are planned at a later date.
Ryland Homes-Southern California reports 12 homes remain for sale at The Colony in Murrieta. The homes in the Estates neighborhood offer floor plans from 1,854 to 2,086 square feet with two and three bedrooms. Prices range from $190,990 to $208,990.
McMillin Homesplans to release seven homes in the second half of phase nine at its Sunrise neighborhood in master-planned Temeku Hills Golf and Country Club in Temecula. The new release is priced from the $160,000s to the low $200,000s. Sunrise's three two- to six-bedroom floor plans range from 1,726 to 2,584 square feet.
Concordia Homesof San Diego has begun framing on four of 10 homes planned for its Village at Rancho Santa Fe development. The four- and five-bedroom homes range from 5,000 to 7,000 square feet and are priced from $1,525,000 to $1,995,000. The homes have been designed by Kaufman Meeks + Partners Inc. of Newport Beach.
Continental Homes and the San Diego interior design firm of Klang & Associates have won a Southern California MAME Award from the Sales and Marketing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California. The developer and the designer won the award for their work at Continental's Eagle Point development in Temecula.
Gateway Elite will hold a grand opening celebration on Sunday at its 26-home Meadowview development in Temecula. The three- and four-bedroom floor plans range from 2,781 to 4,139 square feet and are priced from $336,500 to $412,000. The homes were designed by Frank Gonzales & Associates of Orange County.
