Pacific Bay Homes, LLC, the master developer of 1,200-acre Rolling Hills Ranch report the development was the South County area's best selling for the first six months of 1999 with a total of 167 homes sold. In addition, through August 8, a total of 242 homes have been sold since the grand opening 14 months ago.

The four new-home neighborhoods available in Rolling Hills Ranch in east Chula Vista are:

Kensington Road with floor plans from 1,675 to 2,447 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices begin in the mid-$200,000s. The project is nearing close-out with models available for sale.

Old Creek offers one- and two-story floor plans from 1,899 to 2,429 square.

Valencia Point has floor plans from 2,063 to 2,856 square feet with four and five bedrooms. Prices range from the $260,000s to the low $300,000s.

Stone Canyon will open in early September offering floor plans from 1,469 to 2,367 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices will start in the low $200,000s.

In other activity, Rose Arbor is currently pre-selling with models debuting on Aug. 28. The four, two-story models range from 1,523 to 1,936 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices start in the low $200,000s.


Continental Homes, a D.R. Horton company and master developer of Rancho Carrillo in Carlsbad, reports more than 250 homes have been sold at that development.

Included in 690-acre Rancho Carrillo's neighorhoods are:

Palmilla by Continental Homes with paired homes in three floor plans from 1,411 to 2,063 square feet and three to four bedrooms. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Wuintana by Continental offers four single-story floor plans from 1,901 to 2,730 square feet with three to six bedrooms. Prices start in the high $200,000s.

Califia by Continental has four floor plans from 2,104 to 3,121 square feet with three to six bedrooms priced from the low $300,000s.

Benicia by Shea Homes has four floor plans, including one single level, from 2,203 to 3,003 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices range from the mid-$300,000s.

Estancia by Monarch Communities offers floor plans from 2,932 to 4,010 square feet with three to six bedrooms priced from the mid-$400,000s.

The Estates by Toll Brothers offers one- and two-story floor plans from 3,282 to 4,934 square feet with four to six bedrooms priced from the mid-$500,000s.

Valencia by Shea Homes has five floor plans from 1,192 to 1,454 square feet with two and three bedrooms priced from the high $160,000s.

Barsado by D.R. Horton San Diego is in previewing and will offer three floor plans from approximately 3,000 to 4,500 square feet with four to six bedrooms. Prices are expected to start in the mid-$400,000s.


Ryland Homes reports seven homes remain of its Arbor Collection at master-planned Twin Oaks Valley Ranch in San Marcos. More than half the planned 85 homes were sold off the blueprints, according to Chris Beucler, Ryland's Southern California president. Arbor homes are priced from $232,490 to $285,990. Floor plans offer 1,656 to 2,158 square feet with three and four bedrooms.

Two other projects are also under way at Twin Oaks Valley Ranch.

The Monterey Collection offers three floor plans from 1,973 to 2,546 square feet with three to six bedrooms. Prices range from $269,990 to $317,990. Thirty of a planned 137 homes have been sold.

The Highlands Collection offers a trio of floor plans from 2,257 to 3,172 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices range from $333,490 to $407,490. Twenty-five of a planned 100 homes have been sold.

The development's 159-acre second half is currently under way.


TopMark Communities on Saturday and Sunday will hold a grand opening of its 350-acre RimRock Estates at Hidden Meadows, north of Escondido. All five homes have been completed, offering two-level floor plans from 3,668 to 4,041 square feet with four and five bedrooms priced from $615,000 to $675,000. The Welk Group Inc. is also developing and selling a program of residential lots. Ready-to-build lots of about one acres are available from $149,000 to $204,900. Unguarded homesites ranging up to four acres are priced from $104,900 to $138,900.


Barratt American reports 35 of a planned 60 homes at its Knightsbridge Country Estates in Olivenhain have been sold. Currently, prices range from $999,900 to $1,290,900. Floor plans range from 4,489 to 5,513 square feet with three to six bedrooms.


Fieldstone Communities Inc. has completed and opened a pair of additional models at its Horizons at master-planned Sunbow in Chula Vista. Horizons offers floor plans from 1,923 to 2,872 square feet with three to five bedrooms priced from the high $220,000s.


Barratt American reports 17 sales at its Beachhead project in Oceanside, and has launched sales of the six-home fourth phase. Prices range from $260,990 to $344,990. Sixty-one homes are planned. Four two-story floor plans range from 2,343 to 2,963 square feet with three to five bedrooms.


Ryland Homes reports 21 sales at its Oasis retirement community for 55 years or older in Minify, Calif. Three neighborhoods are selling; Azores priced from $149,990 to $177,990; Aegean's from $175,990 to $195,990; and Antilles from $209,990 to $235,990.
