Otay Ranch home builders sold 97 homes in the third quarter of 1999. And since its April grand opening this year, more than 240 homes have been sold in the 5.300-acre master-planned community east of Chula Vista.

Developer The Otay Ranch Company also recently celebrated the opening of its second Otay Ranch village, called Countryside, and the introduction of six new model homes. There are also 28 model homes for viewing in the first village, called Heritage.

Homes in Otay Ranch range from the high $100,000s to the high $300,000s. Builders include Centex Homes, Pacific Coast Communities, Presley Homes, Shea Homes, Standard Pacific Homes, and Trimark Pacific Homes.


Shea Homes San Diego is releasing 18 homes for sale as the first increment of the third phase of two neighborhoods in the master-planned community of McMillin Lomas Verdes in Chula Vista.

On Sunday, 10 new homes will be available at Fairfield in Otay Ranch priced from the low $300,000s. The 86-home Fairfield project has three one- and two-story floor plans from 2,505 to 3,625 square feet with three to six bedrooms.

On Halloween, eight new homes will be available at 86-home Diego in Lomas Verdes, priced from the low $200,000s. Diego has three two-story floor plans from 1,640 to 1.987 square feet with three and four bedrooms.


Presley Homes opened its 113-home Allegra neighborhood a year ago in Rancho Penasquitos and now has only 15 homes remaining for sale. The two-story floor plans range from 1,405 to 1,788 square feet with two to four bedrooms.


Pardee Homes has released a 12-home phase at its Sea Breeze at Ocean View Hills in the South Bay area. Sea Breeze offers three floor plans from 1,973 to 2,231 square feet priced from $222,600 to $250,625.


Standard Pacific Homes announced it plans to build 183 homes in three series of residences at the Sansonnet neighborhood in 600-acre Torrey Hills. Sansonnet will offer 10 two-story floor plans from 2,100 to 3,800 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices will range from the low $400,000s to the $500,000s.


Ryland Homes reports that 140 homes have been sold barely four months since grand openings at its master-planned Twin Oaks Valley Ranch in San Marcos. Twin Oaks Valley Ranch offers the Arbor Collection, the Monterey Collection, and the Highlands Collection.

Only five homes remain at Arbor, priced from $232,490 to $285,990 with floor plans from 1,656 to 2,158 square feet and three to five bedrooms. Monterey offers three floor plans from 1,973 to 2,546 square feet priced from $269,990 to $317,990. Highlands offers three floor plans from 2,257 to 3,127 square feet with three to five bedrooms priced from $309,990 to $407,990.

Barratt American is offering the seventh phase of its Rembrandt development in Temecula priced from $170,990 to $212,990. Rembrandt will total 142 homes with three floor plans from 1,715 to 2,030 square feet and three to four bedrooms.


Ryland Homes reports 11 homes remain at its 81-unit Malaguena at Rancho California in Murrieta. Three floor plans range from 1,783 to 2,646 square feet with three to five bedrooms priced from $178,990 to $212,140.


Ryland Homes reports 31 homes have been sold at its $230 million, 1,150-home retirement community Oasis at Menifee. Three neighborhoods are currently open for sale.

The Azores for $149,990 to $177,990 offers nine floor plans from 1,295 to 2,455 square feet with two to four bedrooms. The other neighborhoods are The Aegeans for $175,990 to $195,990, and The Antilles for $209,990 to $235,990.
