Centex Homes has acquired two parcels of land in Ayres Land Co.'s Sunbow in Chula Vista and plans a pair of single-family home neighborhoods.
The first neighborhood will offer 101 two-story homes with three floor plans from 2,232 to 2,465 square feet and three to four bedrooms.
The second neighborhood will total 145 homes in a trio of two-story floor plans from 2,469 to 2,922 square feet and four to six bedrooms.
Sunbow is currently marketing Fieldstone Horizons, Shea Homes' Daybreak and Kaufman & Broad's Estrella and Mar del Sol. Villa Serena Apartments and Trammell Crow Residential's 156-unit luxury complex are under way.
Shea Homes San Diego on Saturday at its Virtual 2000 sales center will release the second half of the first phase of its Parkside in Carlsbad. Prices for the eight homes start in the high $200,000s. Parkside's 48 homes feature four two-story floor plans from 1,853 to 2,265 square feet with three or four bedrooms.
McMillin Homes on Saturday will release for sale the four model homes at Willows in master-planned Scripps Ranch Villages. The models are priced from the high $400,000s. The homebuilder reports 146 of the planned 150 production homes at Willows have been sold. The project offered four two-story floor plans from 2,257 to 2,828 square feet with four and five bedrooms.
Shea Homes San Diego on Saturday will hold the opening of its Stonebridge and Woodbridge neighborhoods at Otay Ranch in Chula Vista.
Stonebridge will offer 131 homes in three floor plans from 2,623 to 3,649 square feet with four and five bedrooms. Prices will range from the low to mid-$300,000s.
Woodbridge will offer123 homes in a trio of floor plans from 2,468 to 2,993 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices will range from the middle to high $200,000s.
Pacific Scene Homes on Saturday and Sunday will hold the grand opening of its Sunset Ridge in Vista. A quarter of one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,965 to 2,623 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices range from the high $200,000s to the low $300,000s.
Reynolds Communities reports its 70-home Sun River in Alpine has sold out in 10 months. Prices started in the low $200,000s for four two-story floor plans from 1,565 to 1,938 square feet and three to five bedrooms.
Cornerstone Communities reports that more than 30 townhomes have been sold since January at its 117-unit Capri in master-planned McMillin Lomas Verdes in Chula Vista. The project is more than half sold. A trio of floor plans range from 1,030 to 1,670 square feet with two to four bedrooms. Prices start in the mid-$100,000s.
Continental Homes San Diego, a D.R. Horton company, reports more than 150 homes were sold in the first quarter of 2000 at Rancho Carrillo in Carlsbad. In 1999, the 690-acre master-planned community sold more than 400 homes. Builders at Rancho Carrillo include Shea Homes, Toll Brothers, Monarch Communities, D.R. Horton and Continental Homes.
Pardee Homes reports the sale of 10 homes at Tampico in the Westview community near Mira Mesa. The 10 represent the sellout of the first phase. Tampico has three floor plans priced from $281,725 to $331,725. Two-story floor plans range from 1,826 to 2,309 square feet with three to five bedrooms.
Barratt American reports sales have passed a third of the 44 homes planned at its Olive Hill Ranch in Murrieta. Four homes were sold grand opening day recently, plus another dozen during the presales period. Current prices range from $430,990 to $465,990. Five one- and two-story floor plans range from 3,212 to 3,921 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
Ryland Homes has released the third phase of its Hometown community in Rancho Cucamonga. In the three months since the grand opening, 16 homes have been sold. The eight homes released are priced from $305,990 to $367,990. The 123-home Hometown has four floor plans from 2,566 to 4,027 square feet and three to six bedrooms.
