Centex Homes announced plans to built a pair of luxury neighborhoods at the Seabreeze Farms community in Carmel Valley. One is the 55-home The Hunt Club, the other is Wildhorse with 45 homes.

The Hunt Club will have a trio of two-story floor plans from 4,105 to 4,528 square feet with four and five bedrooms. Prices are expected to start in the $700,000s.

Wildhorse will also have three two-story floor plans from 3,163 to 3,770 square feet with three to six bedrooms. Prices are expected to start in the $600,000s.

Homes in Wildhorse will be designed by the Case Group. The Hunt Club will be designed by William Hezmalhalch Architects of Orange County.


William Lyon Homes, formerly Presley Homes, on Saturday will open Rancho Dorado in San Marcos. The community offers four neighborhoods, two of which will open at that time. Prices for the neighborhoods opening range from the low $300,000s to the high $400,000s. A third neighborhood, Loma Real, will open in the fall in the low $400,000s.

The neighborhoods opening are 56-home La Fuente, with floor plans from 2,088 to 2.636 square feet and three to five bedrooms; and the Monte Verde, with floor plans from 2,680 to 3,184 square feet and three to five bedrooms.


Kaufman and Broad on Saturday and Sunday will celebrate the grand opening of the Belamar and Pravada neighborhoods in Rancho Del Oro, and Emerald Estates, all in Oceanside.

Belamar offers two-story floor plans from 1,563 to 1,892 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices begin in the low $200,000s.

Pravada has two-story floor plans from 1,961 to 2,392 square feet and three and four bedrooms. Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.

Emerald Estates floor plans are up to 2,863 square feet with four to six bedrooms. Prices begin in the mid-$200,000s.


Techbilt Construction Corp. has released 16 paired and detached homes in its Emerald Cove La Jolla community on the southern slope of Mt. Soledad. Homes in the second phase range from 2,434 to 2,998 square feet. Floor plans are attached and detached split-level and two-story with three or four bedrooms. Prices range from the mid-$600,000s to the low $900,000s.


Brookfield Homes on Saturday and Sunday will release18 homes at Barrington and Sheffield at Calavera Hills in Carlsbad.

The 8B phase at 140-home Barrington will be released on Saturday in the high $200,000s. The two-story floor plans range from 1,957 to 2,287 square feet with three and four bedrooms.

Sheffield's 10-home fourth phase will be available Sunday from the mid-$300,000s. The 107 homes have two-story floor plans with four and five bedrooms.


Shea Homes on Saturday is releasing phase 2A at its Parkside neighborhood and phase 4A at Canterbury, both in Carlsbad.

Parkside's eight homes are priced from the high $200,000s and Canterbury from the mid-$300,000s.

Parkside's 48 detached condominiums have four two-story floor plans from 1,850 to 2,387 square feet with three and four bedrooms.

Canterbury's 144 homes have four two-story floor plans from 2,222 to 2,810 square feet and four to six bedrooms.


McMillin Homes has released the first half of the fifth phase at its Alcala neighborhood in McMillin Lomas Verdes at Otay Ranch. The eight homes are priced from the low $300,000s. The 120 homes offer four one- and two-story floor plans from 2,454 to 3,206 square feet with three to six bedrooms.


The Sares-Regis Group of Irvine reports that since January of this year, more than 95 residences have been leased at its Alta Vista Apartment Homes in Escondido. Leasing is now near the 95 percent mark at the 102-unit complex. Three floor plans range from 760 to more than 1,000 square feet with one bedroom.


Innovative Resort Communities reports that 28 homes have been sold at The Masters at PGA in La Quinta. Twenty-four of those were priced from $1.1 million to $2 million. There are nine homes remaining over $1 million.
