Construction has reached the halfway point on the six million-dollar homes for the 2000 Street of Dreams home show in north Poway at Heritage Golf Estates. The builders are:

  • MSK Development Group with a 6,430-square-foot, French County-style residence valued at $3 million. The home will also be the site of the 2000 Designer Showcase sponsored by the Amercian Society of Interior Designers San Diego chapter. Fifteen designers will finish off the 29 spaces of the house's interior.

  • AmeriConstruction Inc. is building a 6,600-square-foot house valued at $2.6 million and called La Dolce Vita.

  • Dawn Matze of Crossware Development is building Villa Maderas, a 6,440-square-foot residence valued at $2.75 million.

  • Villa Toscana by South African David Kramer of Oakhurst Builders is a 6,100-square-foot house valued at $2.9 million.

  • Monty McCullough and Brett Ames of McCullough-Ames Development are building Legends of the Fall, the largest house in Street of Dreams at 8,100 square feet. It is valued at $3.5 million.

    Street of Dreams Inc. (www.streetofdreams.com) was founded in 1985 and has produced more than 55 luxury home events in North America.

    Robert Mueller Construction Inc. will build eight custom homes on sites recently acquired at The Meadows Del Mar. The homes will range from 4,600 to 5,000 square feet with five bedrooms. Prices will begin at $1.4 million.


    CESN Homes reports five view homes remain for sale at Villas Pacifica on the southern slope of Mount Soledad. The tri-level homes feature floor plans of 2,107 square feet with three bedrooms.


    Ryland Homes reports that 78 homes have been sold of a planned 134 in the Monterey Collection at Twin Oaks Valley Ranch in San Marcos. Homes currently available at Monterey are priced from the $270,000s to the $290,000s. A trio of one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,973 to 2,546 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
