Master-planned, 690-acre Rancho Carillo in Carlsbad has been named the top-selling planned community in north San Diego County for the second consecutive calendar quarter this year by The Meyers Group, a real estate services firm.
Approximately 150 homes were sold in the April-June period at eight neighborhoods under construction by four homebuilders. The homes range from estate-sized units priced at more than $600,000 to townhomes in the high $100,000s. There are more than 20 viewing models.
Homebuilders include Toll Brothers with The Estates, Shea Homes San Diego with Valencia, Continental Homes San Diego with Serena and Montevina, Monarch Communities with Estancia, and Brasado by D.R. Horton San Diego. Rancho Carillo is a development of Continental Homes, a D.R. Horton company.
Three new neighborhoods are scheduled to open within the next six months: a single-family project, a condominium and a collection of triplexes.
The Otay Ranch Co., master developer of 5,300-acre Otay Ranch in east Chula Vista, reports the 1,000th home has been sold. Otay Ranch has been ranked as the top-selling new-home community in all of San Diego County for the past three quarters, averaging two sales a day since its April 1999 grand opening.
Homebuilders currently at work in Otay Ranch include Centex Homes, Pacific Coast Communities, Shea Homes San Diego, Trimark Pacific Homes and William Lyon Homes. There are 30 models available for viewing, and homes range from the low $200,000s to the high $300,000s.
Within five months, six more neighborhoods will open featuring Standard Pacific Homes, RWR Cos. and Oakwood Development.
Brookfield Homes on Saturday will hold a model grand opening at its Miro and Ravel neighborhoods in master-planned Scripps Ranch Villages, San Diego. Also on Saturday, six homes will be released for sale at 78-unit Ravel and a dozen at 189-home Miro.
Ravel's two-story floor plans range from 1,938 to 2,237 square feet with three to four bedrooms priced from the low $300,000s. Miro one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,105 to 1,761 square feet with two and three bedrooms. Prices begin in the low $200,000s.
Cal Sun Homes on Saturday and Sunday will hold a model grand opening at its Fairway Villas at the Singing Hills Country Club in El Cajon. Fairway Villas has one- and two-story floor plans from 1,197 to 1,699 square feet with two or three bedrooms priced from the $170,000s.
Fieldstone Communities Inc. on Saturday will release 10 homes as the fourth phase of its Poinsettia Cove in Carlsbad. Prices start in the low $400,000s. At present, the 117-home community is one-third sold out. Four floor plans range from 2,033 to 2,629 square feet with three and four bedrooms.
Shea Homes San Diego on Saturday will release for sale the first half of the sixth phase of its Canterbury neighborhood in Carlsbad. The remainder of the sixth phase will be released October 7. Prices range from the mid-$300,000s. The 144-home neighborhood has four two-story floor plans from 2,222 to 3,038 square feet with four to six bedrooms.
Keystone Communities on Saturday will reveal the model homes of its Impressions at La Costa neighborhood in Carlsbad. Prices for the 29-home project begin at $302,990. Three two-story floor plans range from 1,921 to 2,553 square feet with three and four bedrooms.
Pardee Homes has released the three decorated models for sale at it Belle Fleur neighborhood in master-planned Sabre Springs west of Poway. Priced from the low $700,000s, the model floor plans range from 3,065 to 3,987 square feet and three to five bedrooms.
Barratt American reports 37 homes have been sold at its 78-home Monterey Collection at Quartz Hill in Lancaster. Current prices range from $229,990 to $277,490. A trio of two-story floor plans range from 2,498 to 3,365 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
Ryland Homes reports 27 sales at its 45-home Hometown neighborhood in Rancho Cucamonga. Current prices range from the low $300,000s to the $320,000s. Four one- and two-level floor plans range from 2,566 to 4,027 square feet with three and four bedrooms.
Barratt American reports 29 sales at its 87-home Sundance neighborhood in Rosamond. Current prices range from $131,135 to $163,900. Four one- and two-level floor plans range from 1,586 to 2,529 square feet with three and four bedrooms.
Ryland Homes reports four sales at the recent grand opening of models at Sycamore Creek in Temecula. Four subsequent sales at the 78-home project bring the total to eight. Prices range from the $170,000s to the $180,000s. A trio of two-story, three- and four-bedroom floor plans range from 1,855 to 2,060 square feet.
