Real Estate Roundup

Kaufman & Broad announced it has purchased an additional 83 single-family home lots at master-planned Sunbow in Chula Vista.

The Los Angeles-based homebuilder is already developing the Estrella and Mar Del Sol neighborhoods in Sunbow, and said the sale of 60 homes in the first six weeks of those neighborhoods prompted the acquisition.

The 83 new lots will be a continuation of the Mar Del Sol neighborhood. Those floor plans range from 2,113 to 2,863 square feet with three and four bedrooms. Prices start in the high $200,000s.

Estrella is in the final phase. Floor plans there range from 1,496 to 1,999 square feet with three or four bedrooms. Prices start in the mid-$200,000s.

Reynolds Communities reports one home remains at its Sun Crest development of 14 homes in Alpine. The single-story, 2,834-square-foot, four-bedroom home is priced in the low $400,000s.

Pacific Scene has released for sale four model homes at its Sunset Ridge community of 39 homes in Vista. The one- and two-story floor plans range from 1,965 to 2,541 square feet. Prices range from $314,990 to $379,990.

Six production homes remain, priced from $284,900 to $354,990.

Centex Homes on Saturday will release the final phase at its 99-unit Patina at Bernardo Springs neighborhood in Rancho Bernardo. Prices for the eight homes will start in the low $500,000s. Seventy-six homes have sold since the opening in October 1999. Four one- and two-story floor plans range from 2,713 to 3,631 square feet with three to six bedrooms.

McMillin Homes reports 75 sales in just over a year at its Capistrano neighborhood in the Calavera Hills master plan in Carlsbad. The 107-home neighborhood offers three two-story floor plans from 2,726 to 3,190 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Available homes are priced from $395,000 to $462,990.
