Promoters of the 2000 San Diego Street of Dreams luxury home tour at The Heritage Golf Estates development in north Poway say 48,200 visitors dropped in during the five-week run that ended Nov. 5. Ten awards have been handed out -- five determined by a panel of judges and five voted on by the public.

The judges determined the Best of Show went to Dawn Matze and Crossware Development for the 6,440-square-foot Villa Maderas, which has been sold. The public vote for Best of Show went to McCullough-Ames Development for its 8,100-square-foot Legends of the Fall. At $3.75 million, it is still on the market.

The judges' award for Best Architecture went of Colbourn Currier & Noll Architecture for Oakhurst Builders' Villa Toacana. The public's choice was Legends of the Fall.

The Best Interior Design by the judges went to R & R Design Studio for La Vida Serena by Tony Garczynski (above). H. Johnson Furniture & Interiors was the public's choice for AmeriConstruction's La Dolce Vita.

Best Landscaping by the judges was Oakhust Builders' Villa Toscana. The public liked Environmental Concepts Unlimited's design for Vila Maderas.

The judges' Best Pool went to Sundancer Pools for its vanishing-edge creation at MSK Development's Chanteclair, while the public liked Diamond Pools' work at Legends of the Fall.

Also ending with the tour of luxury homes was the American Society of Interior Designers' 2000 Designer Showcase at MSK's Chanteclair.
