McMillin Land Development, a unit of The Corky McMillin Cos., has begun finish grading at Vista Pacifica, its 204-acre master-planned community at Otay Mesa.

The overall plan for the community, formerly known as Robinhood Ridge, is for 485 single-family homes, a 7.4-acre multi-family site and a 6.9-acre park.

McMillin Homes will build the first two neighborhoods: 127-unit Suncrest with floor plans from 1,606 to 2,173 square feet, and 115-unit Somerset with floor plans from 2,223 to 2,666 square feet. McMillin also is planning a third neighborhood and the multi-family project.

Vista Pacific is McMillin's seventh master-planned community in south San Diego County.

Ryland Homes reports eight sales have been logged in the first month of pre-opening sales at its Ryland Heritage neighborhood in the 4S Ranch master-planned community. Four floor plans range from 3,643 to 4,039 square feet with four to seven bedrooms. Introductory prices will start in the low $500,000s.

The developer of the twin-tower, 94-unit Park Laurel on the Prado reports 33 units in the 46-unit first phase have been reserved at prices ranging from $700,000 to $3 million.

The developer is Park Laurel LLC, headed by Robert Lawrence of RS Lawrence Development Inc. and Joseph S. Sapp of JenJor Development Inc. The units in the 14-story condominium tower at Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street will range from 2,600 to 4,600 square feet.

The second phase is another 14-story tower with 48 units. Construction on the $120 million project is expected to begin in early 2001.

Davidson Communities reports the first increment of 10 homes sold quickly at its Bougainvillea in Carmel Valley at the Dec. 9 release. Prices ranged from the mid-$900,000s to approximately $1.3 million. Three one- and two-story floor plans range from 3,900 to 5,000 square feet with four to six bedrooms.

Brehm Homes reports sales of 160 homes at a pair of Aviara neighborhoods in Carlsbad this year.

The first Aviara neighborhood of Serenata opened in October 1998 with floor plans from 2,690 to 4,190 square feet with three to five bedrooms. Prices start in the $500,000s. Seventy-one homes have been sold and the models are also for sale.

At Brindisi, which opened in May 2000, the first six phases of 72 homes have been sold. Floor plans range from 1,316 to 2,166 square feet with two to three bedrooms. Prices start in the high $200,000s and the models are also for sale from the $325,900s.

Brehm will open next year its Cristalla neighborhood at Aviara with two-story floor plans from 2,653 to 3,043 square feet in two- and three-bedroom configurations priced from the $500,000s.

Barratt American reports sales have reached the halfway point at its 46-home Country Glenn in Escondido. Currently selling phase-five homes are priced from the $620,000s to the $650,000s. Two-level floor plans range from 3,637 to 4,164 square feet with three to six bedrooms.
