Los Angeles-based Kaufman and Broad Home Corp. is changing its name to KB Home.

The company was San Diego County's second largest homebuilder by volume in 2000 with 885 sales (see story top Page 1B). KB Home's San Diego division has 14 communities in the county and neighboring Riverside County.

Companywide, the international homebuilder delivered 22,847 homes in the United States and France for the fiscal year ended Nov. 30, 2000.


Centex Homes on Saturday will release seven homes as phase 10B at 161-home The Enclave at La Costa Valley in Carlsbad. Prices will range from the $400,000s. Four one- and two-story floor plans range from 2,000 to 2,800 square feet with two to five bedrooms.


Brehm Homes reports sales of 100 homes since the grand opening Oct. 28 at its Vintage Reserve in Temecula Valley. When completed, Vintage Reserve will offer 457 single-family detached homes on 128 acres. Four neighborhoods are now selling.


McMillin Homes on Saturday will open the three models for its Cypress Point neighborhood within the Temeku Hills Golf and Country Club in Temecula. The homebuilder will also release 11 homes at phase 1A prices from the low to mid-$200,000s. Three one- and two-story floor plans range from 2,237 to 2,874 square feet with three or four bedrooms.
